BACKGROUND (2).jpg

Meet Jess Manton

Jess began her career as a secondary English teacher before developing a specialist focus in literacy intervention and structured literacy practice.

Over the past 15 years, she has worked with students across primary and secondary settings, supporting children and teenagers with a broad range of literacy and English learning needs. She has also held literacy leadership roles and led professional learning in evidence-informed writing instruction and school-based literacy approaches.

Jess holds a Master of Education (Language and Literacy) and is an accredited Multisensory Structured Language Practitioner through the Australian Dyslexia Association.

Her work is grounded in the belief that literacy is foundational to educational access, confidence and opportunity, and that students experiencing literacy difficulties deserve teaching that is explicit, responsive and carefully matched to their learning needs.

Jess founded Jess Manton Education to provide structured, evidence-informed literacy and English support within calm, supportive learning environments for students from Kindergarten to Year 12.

Alongside Jess is a small team of educators who share the same commitment to explicit teaching, carefully structured support and responsive learning environments.

Learning is carefully sequenced to strengthen understanding, while positive relationships create supportive environments where students feel confident to learn and grow.

Supporting Diverse Learners

We work with students with a wide range of literacy profiles and learning needs.

Students attending our sessions may have dyslexia, dysgraphia, ADHD, autism or other neurodivergent learning profiles, or may simply benefit from carefully paced teaching, smaller learning environments and additional supported practice.
