What is Fix it!?
Fix it! is a structured sentence card game series designed to build sentence knowledge explicitly and systematically through a carefully sequenced progression of simple sentence structures.
Each pack introduces a new layer of simple sentence construction. Students read decodable, phonics-aligned cards and decide whether each one is a sentence or a fragment.
The packs are cumulative and designed to be used in sequence, from Pack 1 through to Pack 4.
The progression
Pack 1 — Subject + Action Verb (At the Farm) The foundation. Students learn that a sentence needs two parts: a subject and a verb. If either is missing, it is a fragment.

Pack 2 — Subject + Action Verb + Object (At the Beach) The first extension. Students learn that some verbs need an object — something the action is directed at — to express a complete idea.

Pack 3 — Subject + Action Verb + Where (+ When) (At the Park) Adding detail. Students learn that sentences can carry information about where and when the action happens, at the start or end of the sentence.
